Simmonds has signed a $850 000 per year, 2 year deal with the Philadelphia
Flyers. Detailed terms of the deal were not announced.
A native of
Canada, Wayne
Simmonds was originally drafted to the NHL by the Los
Angeles Kings in the 2nd round of the 2007 entry draft. He has appeared in
82 NHL games during his career, notching 9 goals and adding 14 assists along
with 73 penalty minutes. The 23 year old right wing is expecting a good season
for the team.
